Frequently Asked Questions

When are you accepting new patients?
I'll start accepting new patients at the end of October. Join the waitlist and I'll reach out as soon as I'm ready. Questions are welcome anytime in the meantime.
Who do you treat?
- Kids of all ages, from infants to young adults -- developmental milestones, coordination, and strength. Learn more about pediatric therapy
- Women and men with pelvic floor concerns, including bladder or bowel issues, pelvic pain, erectile dysfunction, and pre- and postpartum care. Learn more about pelvic floor therapy
- Adults needing orthopedic or preventive care, whether you're recovering from surgery or injury, improving your balance, or building strength to stay active. Learn more about orthopedic care
Where do sessions take place?
Wherever works best for you -- your home, or anywhere in your community, like the gym or a local park. Practicing in the places you actually live, work, and play helps your progress carry over into everyday life.
What areas do you serve?
I serve families across the southern Twin Cities, including Bloomington, Burnsville, Eagan, Apple Valley, Lakeville, Savage, and surrounding communities. See the full list on the Contact page. Don't see your city? Reach out -- I may still be able to come to you.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
Not to get started. Minnesota allows you to see a physical therapist directly, without a referral. If your treatment continues beyond 90 days, Minnesota law requires a referral from a physician or other qualified provider -- I'll let you know well ahead of time if that applies to you. Wellness and prevention care doesn't require a referral.
Do you take insurance?
I'm a private-pay practice, which means I don't bill insurance directly. That lets us focus on what you need, without visit limits or insurance restrictions deciding your care. If you'd like to seek reimbursement, I can provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so check with your insurer about your benefits.
I also offer visit packages, which lower the cost per visit.
Many patients also use HSA or FSA funds for physical therapy. Check with your plan administrator to confirm eligibility.
Do you accept Medicare?
I'm not able to provide Medicare-covered physical therapy services. If you have Medicare, reach out -- depending on your goals, I may be able to help with preventive care that isn't covered by Medicare, such as improving balance, building strength, and supporting bone health.
What should I expect at my first visit?
Your first visit typically takes about 60 minutes. I'll start by listening -- your history, your goals, and what you want to get back to doing. Then I'll do a thorough assessment of how you move, including strength, range of motion, and balance. Together we'll build a personalized plan.
What should I wear, and do I need any equipment?
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in easily. I bring everything needed for your session, so you don't need any special equipment. If there's an activity or space that's giving you trouble -- your stairs, your workout, your child's play area -- we can work on it right there.
Do I have to be injured to work with you?
Not at all. I also offer preventative, proactive care to help you get stronger, improve your balance, reduce your risk of falls, and stay ahead of future injuries.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on your goals and what you're working on. After your first visit, I'll share a recommended plan and what to expect, and we'll adjust it together as you progress.
How do I get in touch?
Text or call (612) 208-9663, or send a message through the contact form. I typically respond within 24 business hours.
